Volda is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality has a population of approximately 9,000 people. Volda is also the administrative center of the municipality and is located on the northeast side of the Voldsfjorden. The town is a local center for education, administration, and commerce, with teacher education dating back to 1861.
